Paratransit Driver
About The Position
A Paratransit Driver is responsible for transporting clients from their pickup point to their destination in a timely and safe manner. Using a vehicle to successfully transport people, performing pre-trip inspections, performing child checks post-route, and keeping their vehicle within DOT regulations are the most important tasks of the driver. At My Ride, every trip matters and so do the people behind the wheel. We’re looking for caring, reliable Paratransit Drivers who want to make a real difference in their community by helping riders get where they need to live, learn, and achieve. Requirements
- Valid MN driver’s license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to assist passengers as needed
- Strong communication and customer‑service mindset
- Dependable, compassionate, and safety‑focused
Responsibilities
- Safely transport riders using paratransit vehicles to scheduled destinations
- Provide friendly, respectful assistance to riders with diverse mobility needs
- Follow all safety, DOT, and company procedures
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and support teams
- Represent My Ride and Transit Team with professionalism and care—every ride, every time
- Performing pre-trip inspections
- Performing child checks post-route
- Keeping their vehicle within DOT regulations
