About The Position

INTECON is seeking a Pararescue Instructor that delivers advanced skills training to Air Force Special Operations Forces personnel at the Special Tactics Training Squadron. This role is critical to maintaining SOF mission readiness by providing hands-on, physically demanding instruction across the full spectrum of Pararescue operations including high-angle rescue, maritime operations, and combat tactics. The instructor serves as a subject matter expert who demonstrates techniques, ensures safe training operations, and prepares elite operators for real-world missions.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years' experience as a 7-level in USAF Pararescue career field
  • Three (3) years of Air Force Special Tactics experience
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Ability to read, understand, speak, and write English fluently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of computers including Internet, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Windows
  • Physical ability to perform rigorous field work including high-angle operations, open-water swimming, and extended outdoor training in non-climate-controlled environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any required base access credentials

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a USAF Pararescue instructor or evaluator
  • Familiarity with STTS program of instruction curriculum
  • Prior experience with AFSOC training programs
  • Current certifications in relevant rescue and medical skills (e.g., EMT-P, tactical combat casualty care)
  • Experience with demolitions and special operations mission planning

Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom and field instruction on Pararescue curriculum including radio communications, airborne operations, alternate insertion and extraction methods, and small unit tactics
  • Conduct high-angle rappelling instruction and demonstrations in outside-the-classroom, non-standard instructional settings
  • Perform maritime duties and open-water swimming to support amphibious operations training
  • Handle, demonstrate, and provide instruction on munitions, small arms, heavy weapons, crew-served weapons, and night vision devices
  • Demonstrate weapons fire and ensure safe training operations during live-fire exercises
  • Fly infiltration/exfiltration with students into and out of field training exercises via AFSOC or contracted fixed/rotary wing aircraft
  • Instruct students on survival, evasion, resistance and escape (SERE) techniques and personnel recovery operations
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback in accordance with STTS program of instruction standards
  • Participate in full mission profile events and operational preparation of the environment (OPE) training exercises
