About The Position

Make a difference every day by joining CCRES as a Paraprofessional through our partnership with Susquenita School District! We are currently interviewing candidates for the 2026 - 2027 school year! The hourly Special Education Paraprofessional pay rate to work on assignment with Susquenita School District is $17.00/hour. 5 days of Paid Time Off (prorated based on hire date). Employer paid clearances and TB screening! The Special Education Paraprofessional will work 182 days following the academic calendar year. Special Education Paraprofessionals may support students in one or more of the following areas: Autistic, Emotional, Learning, and Life Skills Supports. OPENINGS FOR '26-'27 SCHOOL YEAR: Susquenita Middle School: Autistic Support Classroom, 7:30am - 2:30pm

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required - Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years post secondary education, or higher, preferred.
  • Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance to students with special needs who have IEPs or 504 plans.
  • Reinforcing learning concepts and skills.
  • Working with students individually or in small groups.
  • Work with students on organizational skills, guide students in activities, monitor student progress.
  • Managing students behavior and ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Supervising students during lunch, arrivals/dismissals, and other non-instructional areas.
  • Directly support students at the direction of classroom teacher and building Principal.
