About The Position
PRO Pediatric Services is seeking exceptional Paraprofessionals to provide services within a local intermediate unit for the 2026-2027 school year. Paraprofessionals will work with students 1:1 during the school calendar year and will follow the school calendar for days off, holidays, etc. Summers are off; ESY may be available but is not guaranteed. Our Paraprofessionals are vital members of the school team. They work with our district partners to deliver high-quality services to a variety of students grades K-12. PRO Companies is a dynamic organization that employs professionals across diverse positions within their human services and health and wellness divisions. Our school division, PRO Pediatric Services, supports students from Early Intervention age, up to grade 12 within school districts, charter schools, and intermediate units.
Requirements
- Must have an Associate's degree or higher
- A minimum of one year recent experience working with children in a school setting is required
- Must be comfortable using a computer
- Must be able to complete clinical documentation to school district standards
- Current clearances (within 6 months)
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to students with disabilities or special needs in a school setting
- Assist with mobility, positioning, and personal hygiene as needed
- Support students in classroom activities, communication, and social interactions
- Help implement behavior management strategies under teacher and therapist guidance
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents regarding student progress and needs
