About The Position
Vacancy for a paraprofessional to provide program support to elementary-age students in general education and/or special education settings, including lunch and recess supervision. This position works 7 hours per day.
Requirements
- Possess 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits of study from an institution of higher education or an AA, AS, AAS (or higher) degree, OR provide a passing score on the MN ParaPro Test or ParaEducator Assessment.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students.
- Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of land-based learning and experiential learning
- Knowledge of Ojibwe language revitalization efforts and their importance.
- Mediation and restorative justice skills
- Experience assisting with social-emotional learning
