About The Position

CCRES is partnering with Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU) to hire a Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers paid credentials, including necessary clearances and TB screening. The Paraprofessional will support students in areas such as Autistic Support, Emotional Support, and Life Skills Supports, following the academic calendar. The pay rate is $24.00/hour, and the role includes 5 days of paid time off. Current openings include a position at Carroll Elementary School, supporting students in an Autistic Support classroom, which requires comfort with personal care and behavior redirection. The school day is approximately 8:20 am to 3:50 pm, with pay through the lunch break.

Requirements

High School Diploma required.
Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB for Title I positions.
PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance (current within 12 months).
PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance (current within 12 months).
PA Department of Education FBI Clearance (Use code 1KG6XN) (current within 12 months).
TB Screening (current within 3 months).
Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts.

Nice To Haves

2 years post-secondary education, Associate's Degree or higher.
Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting.

Responsibilities

Provide instructional, behavioral, and/or physical assistance to an individual student or a small group of students, including on-task prompting, facilitating social skills, and self-care skills.
Work with students on organizational skills, guide students in activities, and monitor student progress.
Directly support students at the direction of the classroom teacher and building Principal.
