About The Position

Interim HealthCare is currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic Paraprofessionals to support students within the Derry School District. If you enjoy working with children, helping students achieve their goals, and making a positive impact in the classroom, we'd love to hear from you! We are currently hiring for three full-time school-based positions supporting students in a collaborative educational environment. Whether you have experience in education, behavioral support, human services, or simply have a passion for helping others succeed, this is an incredibly rewarding opportunity.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to follow classroom and behavioral support plans
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including assisting students as needed

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, education, healthcare, or human services is preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students throughout the school day.
• Assist students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals as directed by the classroom teacher and school team.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support classroom instruction and encourage student engagement and independence.
• Assist with transitions, classroom activities, and daily routines.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, school staff, and supervisors.
• Maintain student confidentiality and follow school policies and procedures.
• Help students build confidence, independence, and successful learning habits.
