About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring full-time Paraprofessionals for a K–12 school setting in Longmont, CO. In this role, you'll provide direct support to students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs, helping them thrive both in and out of the classroom. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs preferred
- Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow direction and support behavior and academic plans
Nice To Haves
- School-based or paraprofessional experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to students in the classroom
- Assist with implementing behavior plans and classroom strategies
- Support students with academic tasks and daily routines
- Help reinforce social, emotional, and communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
- Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Support students with transitions throughout the school day
- Maintain basic documentation as needed
