About The Position
Full-Time Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year in Special Education. This position involves supporting students who receive various forms of assistance, such as 1:1 student support, access to support programs, and other assigned duties. The role operates on a full-time basis, up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during instructional sessions. The starting wage is based on the current Midland Federation of Paraprofessionals Master Bargaining Agreement.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be Highly Qualified
- Completed at least two years of college coursework with 60+ credits -or- Hold an Associate's Degree or higher -or- ParaPro Assessment - Qualifying score of 460+
Nice To Haves
- CPR/First Aid certified (preferred; willing to be provided training)
- Proven organization and time management skills
- Dependable Attendance
- Ability to explain curriculum expectations following directive from teacher
- Ability to work professionally with staff, students, parents and other providers
- Ability to provide positive guidance to students in a manner that communicates dignity and respect
- Basic understanding of technology
- Ability to assist with personal care needs
- Able to sit, stand, bend, and walk frequently
- Some lifting may be required
- Experience and/or knowledge of behavioral management techniques
