About The Position

Career Success Schools is seeking dedicated and student-centered Paraprofessionals to join our team. The Paraprofessional plays an important role in supporting student learning, classroom instruction, student engagement, and the overall success of the school community. Paraprofessionals work under the direction of classroom teachers and school administrators to provide instructional, academic, behavioral, and supervision support to students in individual, small-group, and classroom settings. This position helps reinforce teacher-led instruction, supports positive student behavior, assists with classroom routines, and contributes to a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, patient, and committed to helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. This individual should be able to build positive relationships with students, work collaboratively with teachers and staff, and support the mission and values of Career Success Schools.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License required.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, staff, families, and school leadership.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively in a school setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or completion of at least 60 college credit hours.
  • Paraprofessional certification or Highly Qualified status.
  • Prior experience working with children or students in a school, youth program, or related setting.
  • Experience supporting students with academic, behavioral, or social-emotional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers with classroom instruction, student activities, and daily classroom routines.
  • Provide academic support to students individually or in small groups.
  • Reinforce lessons, directions, and instructional activities as assigned by the teacher.
  • Support students with completing assignments, staying on task, and participating in learning activities.
  • Assist with classroom management and the implementation of positive behavior supports.
  • Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, arrival, dismissal, and other school activities as assigned.
  • Support students with diverse learning needs while maintaining dignity, respect, and confidentiality.
  • Assist with preparing instructional materials, organizing classroom supplies, and maintaining a clean and orderly learning environment.
  • Monitor student behavior and report concerns to the teacher or administrator.
  • Maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with students at all times.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and school staff to support student achievement and schoolwide expectations.
  • Follow all school policies, procedures, safety protocols, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
