Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Outstanding organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Strong work ethic with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to the teaching craft
  • Commitment to the belief that all students can learn and to the mission of educational equity
  • Ability to use technology seamlessly.

Nice To Haves

  • Charter school awareness or experience - preferred
  • A strong liberal-arts education - a plus
  • Experience with the Core Knowledge Sequence and Classical Education - preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supporting creation of a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Supporting students with individually defined needs in collaboration with the special education department and classroom teachers.
  • Providing timely feedback to special education teachers and leaders as you support academic growth and development.
  • Fostering a culture of respect, responsibility, and integrity by enforcing school rules and expectations of honor, achievement, world citizenship, and kindness.
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance support skills and stay current with educational trends and best practices
