About The Position

Valor Collegiate Academies is seeking a Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time, in-person role where campus placement is determined by student and organizational needs. Valor Collegiate Academies is a top-performing public charter school network in Nashville, Tennessee, serving students in Grades 5-12 across three schools. Responsibilities

• Assist scholars in meeting their daily personal and academic goals
• Collaborate closely with the exceptional education team of teachers and paraprofessionals to ensure the success and wellbeing of scholars
• Assist and guide scholars during class transitions and help them stay organized and on-task in their learning spaces
• Support scholars with alternative academic tasks in an inclusive classroom environment
• Support scholars in developing coping strategies
• When needed, pull out and work one-on-one with scholars to help them “reset” and prepare for the inclusive classroom environment
• Assist scholars with personal daily life skills such as toileting, feeding, and general hygiene skills as needed. Toileting involves escorting students to the bathroom, supporting with diaper changes, wiping, and sanitization
• Assist lead teachers with developing and creating materials for lessons
• Assist lead teachers to collect data on scholars individual academic and behavioral goals

• Compensation is $39,734, with a 2% salary increase applied annually.
• Paraprofessionals with Bachelor's degrees are eligible to apply for Valor's Transition to Teach Program after one full academic year of service, which provides an in-house pathway for paraprofessionals to enter the teaching profession
