About The Position

The Ozark School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Paraprofessional. Successful applicants will work directly under the principal, instructional facilitator, or classroom teachers. They will perform duties related to student services, including training for special healthcare needs and dyslexia intervention. Services will be provided for students both inside and outside of the classroom settings. Support staff will be used for students’ physical health through supervision during physical activities, social-emotional health by assisting in the alternative learning environment setting, and to support learning needs through intervention in regular education classrooms. Paraprofessionals will provide direct student support and continuous learning opportunities that help prepare students for grade-level learning. They will assist educators in meeting students’ academic and wellness needs through differentiated instruction, assisting with individualized instruction, healthcare needs, and by providing intervention and supervision of students.

Requirements

  • Have a love for children of all ages and backgrounds and their learning
  • Hold an associate’s (or higher) degree from an institution of higher education OR completed two years of study from an institution of higher learning OR successful completion of a parapro exam
  • Provide resume (with references), transcript, and record of any previous training pertaining to student and/or health services
  • Possess the following qualities: professional, organized, adaptable, kind, calming, understanding, and optimistic and positive

Responsibilities
