About The Position

Make a difference every day by joining CCRES as a Paraprofessional through our partnership with Camp Hill School District! This hourly Special Education Paraprofessional position has a pay rate of $18.00/hour and supports students in areas such as Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Learning, and Life Skills Support. The specific opening is for an Elementary Life Skills Support Paraprofessional at Hoover Elementary School, serving grades K-2. The role involves working in a classroom with higher need students, providing behavioral support and instruction in language acquisition, with potential training on AAC devices. Some push-in support to specials is also expected. Employees will need to assist students with toileting, and necessary materials will be provided. Safe Crisis Management training is required and will be provided by the district.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB for Title I positions.
  • Safe Crisis Management trained.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years post secondary education or higher.
  • Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support students in areas such as Autistic, Emotional, Instructional, Learning, and Life Skills Support.
  • Provide behavioral support in the classroom.
  • Provide instruction in language acquisition.
  • Assist students with toileting.
  • Provide some push-in support to specials.
