About The Position
Achievers Learning Academy (ALA) is a specialized private school serving neurodivergent students through a collaborative model that combines academics, communication, social-emotional learning, and individualized support. They are seeking caring, energetic, and dependable Paraprofessionals / Teaching Assistants to join their growing team for the 2026–2027 school year. The role involves working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to help students succeed throughout the school day in a small, supportive school environment with a collaborative team culture.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children preferred
- Experience in education, ABA, childcare, ESE, therapy, camps, or related settings is a plus
- RBT certification is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Supporting students during academic instruction
- Assisting with classroom routines and transitions
- Supporting students during transitions between activities, classrooms, and daily routines
- Supporting students during parent drop-off and pick-up routines
- Helping implement behavior and communication supports
- Supporting students during lunch, recess, specials, and community activities
- Encouraging independence, social skills, and participation
- Preparing classroom materials and helping maintain an organized environment
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and leadership staff
- Creating a warm, positive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere
