Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Criminal Background Clearance
- Tuberculosis Clearance
- Strength and Agility Testing
- If you are NOT currently or never have been a Paraprofessional for VUSD, you must include proof of one of the following: Completion of 48 units of college or university or above OR Passing score on the District Paraprofessional Exam
Responsibilities
- Providing support to the special education program within assigned classroom.
- Assisting in the instruction of individual or small groups of students in a variety of subject areas.
- Providing individualized learning experiences to encourage academic excellence.
- Assisting in the implementation of a behavior modification program.
- Monitoring and reporting student behavior and performance.
- Providing information to appropriate school personnel.
- Performing a variety of clerical duties as assigned.
