About The Position

This position is for a ParaProfessional in a Pre-Kindergarten Exceptional Student Education (ESE) setting. The role involves supporting students with special educational needs. There are two levels described: ParaProfessional I (Grade 18) and ParaProfessional II (Grade 19), with different educational requirements. Specific training and experience with children are noted as requirements for both levels. Additionally, a valid driver's license is required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher.
• Experience working with children.
• Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution required (for ParaProfessional II).
• Valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Experience working with children.
• Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually (for Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions).
