The primary duty of the Paraprofessional is to help the Head Teacher with classroom instruction and other duties as assigned. This role supports the teaching team in implementing curriculum and Head Start Performance Standards, ensuring a developmentally appropriate educational experience in the classroom. The Paraprofessional will also assist with meal preparation and clean-up, maintain classroom sanitation and hygiene, and support children with toileting/diapering. A key aspect of this role is promoting the organization through active recruitment of children and fostering a positive organizational culture by demonstrating program-wide behavioral expectations. The position involves monitoring student progress, communicating with the Head Teacher/Program Manager, building positive relationships with parents, and enforcing safety standards. Maintaining knowledge of best practices in early childhood education is also essential.
