About The Position

Achieve Beyond is hiring a part-time, hourly Paraprofessional/Behavior Therapist to provide pediatric ABA services for cases in Mahopac and surrounding areas. The position involves working with children in home-based settings and supporting services designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Therapists receive access to the company’s paperless billing and data collection system, practice management support, continuing education workshops and trainings, and team-building meetings and events. Compensation is based on experience and education, with an hourly rate of $19–$25 discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Passionate about working with children, families, and therapists.
• At least 1–2 years of experience working with children ages 2–21 in a supervised setting, or successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education, or a related field.
• Successfully complete Achieve Beyond’s 20-hour classroom training and pass the competency exam upon completion.
• Self-motivated, a team player, and able to exercise patience and professionalism.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with children, family members, and supervisors.
• Comfortable working in a home-based setting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using ABA.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ABA instruction according to the educational plan outlined by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
• Participate in collaborative team meetings with the BCBA and other Behavior Therapists on the case.
• Communicate frequently with family members, provide debriefs at the end of each session, and share resources and strategies for promoting consistency at home and in the community.
• Collect daily data and organize the child's program book weekly.
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with State and Federal regulations.
