About The Position

The Paraplanner position supports our Lead Advisors by assisting with the creation of financial plans and learning firm-specific procedures and processes, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality client service. Key responsibilities include preparing detail-oriented financial plans, conducting investment research and analysis, and collaborating with team members. The Paraplanner reports to and is employed/contracted by the Financial Advisor. You will be employed/contracted by Heart of Texas Associates.

Requirements

Securities (6/63, 7/66, or 7/63 & 65) and Life, Health, and Annuity registration required
Demonstrated customer service orientation/experience, 2+ years preferred
Extremely strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) or ability to learn
Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information

Nice To Haves

Degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred
Experience in What If Tax and MoneyGuidePro is a plus

Responsibilities

Prepare and update detail-oriented and accurate financial plans and presentation materials for client meetings
Gather and enter information into financial planning software and prepare draft financial plans
Gather and maintain customer suitability information
Assist in generating and reviewing client portfolio performance reports
Enter and maintain information across various systems, including CRM system (Salesforce) and financial planning software, ensuring data integrity and up-to-date documentation
Identify and share ideas to improve workflows, processes, and internal procedures to create positive client experiences
Complete necessary forms for opening and maintaining accounts
Handle request for transfers of funds in and out of accounts
Demonstrate strong organizational skills by managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines while working independently
Maintain professionalism, discretion, and a client-first mindset when handling sensitive client information
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Lead Advisor
