About The Position

At U.S. Financial Services, a boutique wealth management firm, we provide highly personalized financial planning and investment advisory services to individuals and families. Our firm emphasizes long-term client relationships, thoughtful advice, and professional development. We are growing and seeking a motivated Paraplanner who aspires to become a CFP® professional and build a long-term career in wealth management. The Paraplanner will support Lead Advisors in the delivery of comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services. This role is ideal for someone early in their financial planning career who is detail-oriented and committed to pursuing the CFP® designation. You will gain hands-on exposure to real client situations and structured mentorship from experienced advisors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • Strong desire to pursue the CFP® certification (actively enrolled or planning to enroll preferred)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Internal applicants must be in good standing and have a minimum of 1 year of service with Kestra.
  • Internal applicants must also have a minimum of 1 year service in current role unless approved by EVP.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with eMoney financial planning software a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist advisors with the preparation and implementation of comprehensive financial plans
  • Gather, input, and maintain client financial data across planning and portfolio systems
  • Develop planning analyses including cash flow, retirement projections, tax planning, insurance reviews, and estate planning support
  • Prepare client meeting materials, presentations, and follow-up action items
  • Conduct financial research and scenario analysis as requested by advisors
  • Participate in client meetings over time, with increasing responsibility as skills develop
  • Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with firm policies and regulatory standards
