About The Position

As a full-time Paramedic in the United States, you will play a critical role in providing emergency medical care and transportation to patients in urgent need. Your primary objective is to assess patient conditions rapidly, administer appropriate pre-hospital treatment, and ensure safe and timely transport to medical facilities. You will collaborate closely with other emergency responders, healthcare professionals, and dispatch teams to deliver high-quality care under often stressful and unpredictable circumstances. This role demands a strong commitment to patient safety, adherence to medical protocols, and the ability to make quick, informed decisions. Ultimately, your work will directly impact patient outcomes and community health by delivering lifesaving interventions in the field.

Requirements

  • Valid and current Paramedic certification/license as required by the state of employment.
  • Completion of an accredited Paramedic training program.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening as per employer policies.

  • Familiarity with medical documentation and electronic reporting systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a high-volume emergency medical services (EMS) environment.
  • Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Familiarity with electronic patient care reporting (ePCR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills developed through prior patient-facing roles.
  • Additional training or certification in trauma care or critical care transport.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide advanced life support care to patients at the scene and during transport.
  • Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring, medical history evaluation, and injury identification.
  • Administer medications, perform airway management, control bleeding, and execute other emergency medical procedures as authorized.
  • Operate and maintain emergency vehicles and medical equipment to ensure readiness and safety.
  • Document patient care reports accurately and communicate effectively with hospital staff and other healthcare providers.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain certification and stay current with medical protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members and other emergency services to coordinate patient care and ensure efficient response.
