About The Position

We are currently hiring for a PRN Paramedic within the Aspen Ambulance department here at Aspen Valley Health. Work Shift: Rotating - Other Compensation Range: $33.93 - $54.27 The compensation range listed is an estimate. Final compensation will be determined based on your qualifications including years of experience performing similar work, level of formal education in a relevant field of study, and any professional certifications related to the position. Position Overview: Administers basic and advanced life support to sick and injured persons in pre-hospital and interfacility setting as directed by local protocols and physician orders. Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance. Transports sick and injured persons to or between hospitals or other appropriate treatment facilities. Maintains a good working relationship with hospital staff, public safety agencies and the community. This Position Offers: As a PRN employee, you will be eligible to purchase discounted bus passes for transportation to and from work, 457B, and also participate in a number of AVH hosted programs. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Paramedic education program.
  • Unrestricted license to practice as a Paramedic (PARA) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Current driver license, or ability to obtain prior to start date, with minimum 3 years of driving experience and acceptable MVR.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS). May be obtained upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Nice To Haves

  • Colorado Critical Care Paramedic endorsement preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
