About The Position

This is a collective bargaining unit position. The Paramedic responds to routine transport requests and emergency 911 calls, assisting as needed to secure the accident scene. They determine the nature and extent of illness/injury, establish priority for required emergency care, and render such care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The role involves establishing radio communications with a medical facility, completing run reports detailing patient care, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and equipment readiness. Additionally, the Paramedic performs various duties and patient care activities in the Emergency Room under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or physician, and assists on nursing units as requested. A key aspect of the role is promoting the institution's philosophy, mission, and values during all interactions.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program with a current State of Ohio license.
  • Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.
  • Must have a State of Ohio driver license with a driving record which permits insurability under the hospital's insurance coverage.
