The Paramedic will provide a full range of EMT services within the MTF and supported geographical area. This includes maintaining proficiency in and operating ambulance radio equipment, providing necessary and appropriate medical care during transport consistent with available resources and personnel certification, and controlling and disposing of medical waste. The role involves routine restocking, cleaning, and disinfection of the vehicle, equipment, and supplies to ensure safety and proper functioning. Documentation of all treatment provided is required. The Paramedic will rapidly stabilize patients according to Advance Life Support (ALS) protocol and EMS written protocols, and assist in moving patients to their destinations, including placing them on monitors, administering treatments, and managing patient belongings. A primary duty involves providing medical support for detonation operations involving live munitions on the Nevada Test and Training Range, in accordance with AFMAN 32-3001. Travel to support Northern Range Operations (TTR-CA) may be required.
