About The Position

Legacy EMS is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering high-quality emergency medical services. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our team at the US Air Force Academy, as part of our USAFA contract. As a Paramedic at Legacy EMS, you will play a vital role in providing medical care to individuals in need.

Requirements

• Currently certified as a paramedic in the state of Colorado or NREMT.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
• CPR certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Strong clinical and decision-making skills in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to obtain a flight line driver license (483).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• FEMA ICS Courses (ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 700) Required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Able to pass a thorough background screening.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Responding to emergency calls and assessing the medical needs of patients.
• Administering necessary medical treatments and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Transporting patients to medical facilities in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and emergency response teams.
• Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of patient care.
