About The Position

Superior Ambulance Service seeks a Paramedic to provide safe transportation and quality medical care to sick and injured individuals within the scope of state EMS regulations. The company provides emergency and scheduled medical transports, as well as critical care, helicopter, and fixed-wing emergency medical transportation. Openings are listed in Oshkosh, Burlington, Kaukauna, Fond Du Lac, Menomonee Falls, Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, Mount Pleasant, Janesville, Oak Creek, and Elkhorn. The Paramedic provides appropriate patient care, safely transports patients, assesses and communicates patient conditions, documents care and billing information, and maintains the ambulance in sanitary condition and monitors its fluid levels and gauges.

Requirements

EMT-P National Registry certification and/or a current state license, or a license pending.
Ability to provide medical care at the EMT or Paramedic level while safely transporting patients.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Ability to safely operate a vehicle in daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather conditions.
Pass a pre-employment interview, physical and lifting examination, and drug screening.
Attend company-provided training and driving course.

Responsibilities

Provide appropriate patient care within Paramedic training.
Transport patients safely and efficiently, including reading maps and distinguishing street names, house numbers, and business addresses.
Assess patients and accurately communicate their conditions to other medical professionals.
Prepare accurate written reports describing patients’ conditions, medical histories, and treatment provided.
Complete appropriate documentation for billing information.
Maintain the vehicle in sanitary condition and monitor fluid levels and gauges.
