About The Position

Provides advanced life support care to patients who are ill or injured. Transports and transfers patients, assesses the extent of illness or injury, and establishes and prioritizes medical procedures. During ambulance rides, may provide artificial respiration or oxygen, dispense antiseptic solution to prevent infection, start and administer intravenous fluids, and perform other emergency medical procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks, and typically reports to a manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Registration with the EMT National Registry.
• Licensure by the State EMS Authority.
• CPR/BLS certificate required.
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
