About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Paramedic to join their Emergency Department at the Bucyrus location. The role involves meeting the communication needs of patients, families, and staff, preparing and compiling records, initiating directions from Providers and nursing, maintaining regulatory requirements, and providing basic patient care within the scope of practice as directed by Providers or nursing staff.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Licensed as a Paramedic by the State of Ohio.
- BLS certification or obtained within thirty (30) days of hire.
- PALS and ACLS certification or obtained within six (6) months of hire.
- NRP certification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire
- TNCC certification or obtained with one (1) year of hire.
Nice To Haves
- STNA Certification.
- Previous experience working in an ED Hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Meets the communication needs of the patient, family and staff.
- Prepares and compiles records within the facility.
- Initiates directions from Providers and the nursing.
- Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and facility policies and procedures as well as standards.
- Provides basic patient care (not to exceed scope of practice) as directed by Providers or nursing staff.
