About The Position

LifeFlight Event Medicine (LFEM) provides high-level clinical care at events throughout Tennessee. The experience gained from working in 911 or an emergency department will prepare you for the dynamic nature of LFEM. Our team includes AEMTs, Paramedics, CCPs, RNs, NPs, and MDs—professionals committed to growing their skills and delivering exceptional care. We provide both onsite medical support and transport services. LFEM offers exceptional training opportunities through Vanderbilt, including Trauma Conference, Pediatric PM&I, LFEM-specific training, PHTLS, TECC, and more. We provide dynamic work environments, from structured settings to fast-paced events, and flexibility to work independently or as part of a collaborative team. Events can range from indoor/outdoor sporting events to emergency response on clinic and hospital campuses. You may operate independently on solo events, use critical thinking and strong decision-making skills, or work with a small team led by a supervisor to provide rapid emergency response. On large-scale events, you will collaborate within a large, integrated team alongside advanced providers for efficient, high-quality care. Requirements

  • LIC-Driver's License - Tennessee
  • LIC-Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic - Licensure-Others
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Provides guidance to entry level co-workers

Responsibilities

  • Actively participates with other members of the healthcare team to provide direct patient care.
  • Transports patients via various modes of transportation while providing quality ALS and Critical Care management to all ages.
  • Responds to emergency requests within Vanderbilt, Vanderbilt sponsored or other contracted events.
  • Utilizes the problem solving model to independent resolve patient problems and follow through with HCT to implement solutions.
  • Identifies patient and unit problems and finds solutions to resolve problems and follows through to implement solutions.
  • Effectively communicates patient handover to the health care team.
