About The Position

Superior Ambulance Service is hiring a Paramedic in Menomonee Falls, with openings also available in other Wisconsin locations. The company provides emergency medical services and scheduled medical transportation. Paramedics provide safe transportation and quality medical care to sick and injured individuals within the scope of state EMS regulations. The role involves providing patient care at the Paramedic level, assessing patients and communicating their conditions to other medical professionals, documenting patient care and billing information, transporting patients safely, and maintaining the ambulance in sanitary condition and monitoring its fluid levels and gauges.

Requirements

NREMT certification or a current state license; a license that is pending is also accepted.
Ability to provide medical care at the EMT or Paramedic level while safely transporting patients.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Ability to safely operate a vehicle in daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather conditions.
Pass a pre-employment interview, physical and lifting examination, drug screen, and background check.
Attend company-provided training and driving course.

Responsibilities

Provide appropriate patient care within Paramedic training and scope.
Transport patients safely and efficiently, using map-reading and address-identification skills to navigate to street addresses and business locations.
Assess patients and accurately communicate their conditions to other medical professionals.
Prepare accurate written reports describing the patient's condition, medical history, and treatment provided.
Provide appropriate documentation for billing information.
Maintain the vehicle in sanitary condition and monitor fluid levels and gauges.
