About The Position

Lifeguard Ambulance Service is hiring a Paramedic to deliver compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care. The role involves responding to emergency calls, assessing situations, providing advanced medical care, and working with patients, loved ones, and other emergency and healthcare personnel. The listed pay rate is $25.00–$29.85 per hour, depending on relevant experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Paramedic License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic credentials.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience; healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine an appropriate course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Use medical equipment and procedures—including a defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids—to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and their loved ones, providing information and reassurance about the care being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage the scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
