About The Position
The Paramedic provides technical assistance and performs selected acts, including administering treatments, under the supervision of the ER Physician and/or Registered Nurse. The Paramedic is accountable for their own actions and performs job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Paramedic Program.
- Active Florida Paramedic license.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Responsibilities
- Ensure patient and personal safety throughout care procedures.
- Conduct patient reassessments as necessary.
- Establish IV access and administer normal saline.
- Interpret ECG readings accurately.
- Administer medication.
