About The Position

Allegiance Mobile Health seeks skilled and experienced Paramedics to provide advanced life support care in emergency and non-emergency settings. The role includes leading patient assessments, performing advanced interventions, administering medications, interpreting EKGs, and ensuring safe transport to healthcare facilities. It requires clinical expertise, leadership, and composure in high-stress environments. Paramedics respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, operate emergency vehicles, communicate with dispatchers and other response organizations, and maintain vehicles and equipment in a state of readiness. They provide patient care under Medical Director authorization and protocols, complete patient care and related documentation, and interact professionally with patients and outside agencies. The work may involve physically and psychologically taxing conditions, including hazardous environments, inclement weather, temperature extremes, fatigue, and potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other hazards. Employees must pass a departmental skills evaluation and complete the NEOP process before staffing a truck.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED.
Paramedic certification in the State of Texas.
CPR certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
For 911 areas, Pre-Hospital Life Support (PHTLS) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) certification.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and interpret instructions in English.
Valid Texas driver's license and an insurable driving record.
Ability to lift, carry, balance, and push up to 125 pounds, or 250 pounds with assistance.
Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and perform repetitive lifting and related movements.
Ability to climb 20 sets of stairs without rest within 60 seconds.
Fine manual dexterity sufficient to perform clinical skills such as starting IVs and intubating.
Correctable vision adequate to read street signs, see in low light, and read small print.
Good judgment and ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude in adversity and use interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to function under fatigue, extreme temperatures, inclement weather, and other taxing conditions.

Responsibilities

Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and drive emergency vehicles in varied road and weather conditions.
Use map books and written or verbal directions to respond safely and efficiently.
Follow departmental, local, and state driving laws, policies, and procedures.
Communicate appropriately with dispatchers, EMS crews, first responders, and other organizations using communication equipment.
Maintain vehicles and equipment in a constant state of readiness and cleanliness.
Complete daily vehicle and supply checklists and assist with resupply, decontamination, and readiness tasks.
Report discrepancies with vehicles, supplies, or equipment in writing promptly.
Provide direct patient care under Medical Director authorization and protocols, demonstrating clinical competency.
Lift, carry, transport, and extricate patients in varied settings, sometimes without assistance.
Interact with outside agencies, including police departments, fire departments, and first responder organizations.
Provide satisfactory customer service and maintain professionalism in all contacts.
Complete patient care reports, billing information, and other documentation accurately and promptly.
Pass the departmental skills evaluation and complete the NEOP process before staffing a truck.
Adhere to company policies and procedures and perform other assigned duties, including housekeeping and special projects.
