About The Position

The Paramedic works under the supervision of a Professional Registered Nurse and/or Physician to facilitate age-appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care; maintain a safe environment; educate patients and their families; collect information; communicate effectively; and use technology. The Paramedic participates in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of health care services and tasks. The Paramedic Nurse Extender role also includes patient advocacy, teaching, performance improvement, and oversight of unlicensed personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification as a Paramedic in the State of Georgia upon hire.
• BLS certification upon hire.
• ACLS upon hire.
• Paramedics new to the specialty must complete applicable certifications within 180 days of the start date.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a Paramedic.
• Current National Registry Paramedic certification.
