The Paramedic will provide a full range of EMT services within the MTF and supported geographical area. This includes maintaining proficiency in operating ambulance radio equipment, monitoring and operating radio equipment as required, and providing necessary and appropriate medical care during transport consistent with available resources and personnel certification. The role also involves controlling and disposing of medical waste, routine restocking, cleaning, and disinfection of the vehicle, equipment, and supplies, and ensuring ambulances are safe, sanitary, and properly functioning. Documentation of all treatment provided during transport is required. The Paramedic will rapidly stabilize patients according to Advance Life Support (ALS) protocol and EMS written protocols, and will lift, place, and deliver patients to receiving destinations. This includes placing patients on monitors, administering needles, IVs, oxygen, or dressings, and redressing wounds. A primary mission involves providing medical support for detonation operations involving live munitions on the Nevada Test and Training Range, in accordance with AFMAN 32-3001. Medical Group duties are secondary. The Paramedic must be able to travel to support Northern Range Operations (TTR-CA).
