About The Position

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc. contracts with local municipalities to provide emergency medical services, rescue, and/or fire services. The company is seeking a full-time Paramedic/Firefighter for its Mundelein contract. The role provides medical care and patient transportation at the EMT-P level, within the employee’s scope of practice as stipulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health and/or EMS Commission of Illinois. The base annual starting pay is $75,013; the posting also lists a wage of $23.44 per hour.

Requirements

• Paramedic license.
• CPR certification.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Firefighter II or Basic Operations Firefighter certification.
• One year of experience.
• ACLS certification; Metro will provide training.
• PALS certification; Metro will provide training.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to patients at the Paramedic (EMT-P) level within the applicable scope of practice.
