About The Position

Epoch Health Care LLC is seeking a Massachusetts-certified Paramedic to join our ALS/BLS ambulance team in the Greater Boston area. As a Paramedic at Epoch, you will provide advanced life support care including IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, medication administration, and advanced airway management — in addition to responding to BLS-level calls. You will serve as the clinical lead on your unit and play a key role in shaping Epoch's clinical quality standards as we expand our ambulance operations.

Requirements

  • Current Massachusetts Paramedic certification (EMT-Paramedic) or National Registry with MA reciprocity
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification — AHA
  • Current BLS / CPR certification — AHA
  • Current Medical Director authorization to practice as a Paramedic in Massachusetts
  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license in good standing
  • Pass CORI (criminal background check), DMV background check, and drug screening
  • High school diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of ALS experience on an ambulance (911 or critical care)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
  • Experience with EMS documentation software (ESO, ImageTrend, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Greater Boston geography and hospital systems
  • Prior experience as a Field Training Officer (FTO) or crew lead
  • Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish, English/Haitian Creole, or other languages)

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and deliver ALS and BLS level care per MA protocols
  • Perform advanced patient assessments and initiate appropriate ALS interventions
  • Administer IV therapy, medications, cardiac monitoring, and advanced airway management
  • Serve as clinical lead on the ambulance unit, directing the EMT partner as needed
  • Accurately complete all patient care reports (PCRs) and documentation after each call
  • Inspect, maintain, and restock the ambulance and ALS/BLS equipment at the start of each shift
  • Communicate professionally with medical control, hospital staff, and other EMS providers
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance across all patient records and documentation
  • Participate in QA/QI reviews and ongoing training under the Medical Director's oversight
  • Mentor and support EMT-Basic crew members in clinical skill development
