About The Position

Guttenberg Municipal Hospital & Clinics is hiring a PRN Paramedic/EMT-B for an onsite position in Guttenberg, Iowa. The role provides holistic care, including clinical interventions, coordination of services, and patient and family education. Under the guidance and supervision of experienced professionals, the Paramedic/EMT-B provides quality care to patients of all ages and performs direct and indirect patient-care duties. The position emphasizes empathetic, respectful, customer-centered care and collaboration with the healthcare team. The stated pay range is $17.16 to $36.54 per hour, depending on experience and license level. Post-offer, pre-employment fit-for-duty assessment and influenza vaccination are required.

Requirements

Current Iowa Advanced EMT or Paramedic Certification.
Maintain certification and education requirements with the IDPH Bureau of EMS.
Maintain Basic Life Support certification.
For paramedics, maintain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support; Neonatal Resuscitation certification is required within one year of hire.
Current Iowa Driver’s License.
Clinical knowledge necessary to competently perform quality patient-care duties appropriate to certification level.
Ability to read, write, and follow written or oral instructions.
Maintain knowledge and skills in all areas within scope of practice.
Strong customer-service skills, empathy, tact, kindness, effective communication, and ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
National Registry Advanced EMT/Paramedic Certification.
Complete a post-offer, pre-employment fit-for-duty assessment and influenza vaccination.
