Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3 years Experience as a Paramedic
  • 2 years Experience in EMS education or training
  • Licensed Paramedic (PARA) - State Licensing Board IN Department of Homeland Security
  • Paramedic (PARA) - State Licensing Board
  • Primary Instructor Certification
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination of the EMT and Paramedic program, including conducting interviews, policies, syllabi, and student clinicals.
  • Prepare educational lesson planning and delivery of lessons.
  • Track student grades, attendance, and progress, utilizing data to inform educational strategies and address remediation and disciplinary concerns.
  • Ensure effective teaching methodologies, testing, and remediation efforts are in place to support student success.
  • Foster relationships with various hospital departments to align EMS education with clinical practice and healthcare standards.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and availability of classroom and lab equipment and supplies, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
