About The Position

Lifeguard Ambulance Service is hiring a full-time Paramedic to provide compassionate, high-quality basic and advanced patient care. Hourly rates start at $25.32, with additional compensation based on experience (DOE). The role includes responding to 911 calls, providing medical care, managing scenes and units as needed, and collaborating with health and public safety personnel. Some work experience is required, preferably in healthcare.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Paramedic License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• NREMT-Paramedic certification.
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass the Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine the appropriate course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Use medical equipment and procedures, including a defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids, to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and their loved ones, providing information and reassurance about the care being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations.
