About The Position

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its Chicago office. The role supports attorneys handling complex civil defense litigation from case inception through resolution, helping ensure deadlines are met and case files are meticulously maintained. It is a full-time position in an office environment, with compensation commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

At least 4 years of paralegal experience in civil litigation.
Strong understanding of litigation procedure, court rules, and case management in Illinois.
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure.
Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.

Nice To Haves

Paralegal Certificate or degree in Legal Studies.

Responsibilities

Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including case development, discovery, and trial preparation.
Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery responses, subpoenas, motions, and summaries.
Organize and analyze accident reports, medical records, insurance materials, and expert reports.
Manage case calendars, track court deadlines, and maintain attorney schedules.
Conduct legal and factual research related to liability and damages.
Communicate directly with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel.
Prepare exhibits, witness files, and other materials for depositions, mediations, and trial.
Assist with court filings, including Illinois State and Federal E-Filing procedures.
Maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
Assist with billing and time entry as needed.
