About The Position

Our law firm is growing, and we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Paralegal to support our probate, estate planning, business, and property law practice areas. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow within a collaborative legal environment, including candidates who are entry-level, have 1–3 years of experience, or are currently completing a paralegal certificate or degree program. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with drafting legal documents, managing client files, communicating with clients, preparing probate filings, and supporting day-to-day legal operations. We are looking for someone who is organized, professional, eager to learn, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and client service. This is an in-office position. The anticipated schedule is approximately 25–30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with potential for the role to transition into a full-time position in the future. Candidates must be available to begin employment within two weeks of accepting an offer.

Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate or degree preferred, but not required.
  • Entry-level candidates, candidates with 1–3 years of experience, or individuals currently completing a paralegal program are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Professional demeanor and strong client service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
  • Experience in probate, estate planning, business law, or property law is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive matters.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with probate, estate planning, business, and property law matters.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, deeds, probate pleadings, correspondence, and business formation documents.
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic client files.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and third parties regarding case status and document collection.
  • Assist with probate and estate administration filings and deadlines.
  • Coordinate appointments, document execution, and case follow-up.
  • Conduct basic legal and public records research as needed.
  • Manage deadlines and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and office staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
