Responsible for supporting attorneys in the various aspects of litigation related to case preparation, management, and execution. This role involves obtaining, reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing legal documentation, scheduling depositions, identifying and evaluating experts, tracking document requests, and proactively moving cases forward. The paralegal will also document files, update clients on case status, participate in discovery and trial preparation, and maintain an expert database. Additionally, the role includes performing research, filing documents with courts, and handling clerical duties. A key aspect of the role is meeting a minimum billing requirement of 140 hours per month, while also performing non-billable functions such as participating in committees, assisting with seminar development, and mentoring new employees. The paralegal must ensure all functions are performed in accordance with client guidelines and remain flexible to support requests outside the job description.
