About The Position

Volumetric Building Companies (VBC) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our General Counsel and legal team. This role will assist with contract administration, legal research, document management, and compliance tasks. The Paralegal will play a critical role in ensuring smooth legal operations and supporting strategic initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or Paralegal Certificate required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in contracts, construction and/or employment law.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency in MS Office and document management systems.
  • Knowledge of construction and contract law is a strongly preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with contract management systems and legal document automation tools.
  • Strong research skills with ability to synthesize complex legal information quickly.
  • Proficiency in AI tools for both legal and administrative use in a professional legal setting.
  • Experience supporting multi-jurisdictional compliance efforts (California & PA preferred).
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with legal, HR, and business teams.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership for assigned tasks and deadlines.
  • Punctual and reliable in delivering work within agreed timelines.
  • Adaptable and proactive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Counsel in drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts and legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research on employment law and contract issues under guidance of counsel.
  • Maintain contract templates and manage document lifecycle in compliance systems.
  • Prepare summaries of legal documents and track deadlines for filings and renewals.
  • Support compliance audits and assist with internal investigations as directed.
  • Coordinate with HR and business teams to gather information for legal matters.
  • Fleet Compliance – including registration, insurance and background checks.
  • Insurance Compliance – including filings, audit coordination, certificate tracking.
  • Develop and maintain a repository for electronic and physical legal files ensuring confidentiality, security and accessibility for those that require it.
