About The Position

The Paralegal assists attorneys with processing a wide range of corporate transactions in the franchise practice area, as well as licensing and compliance for corporate-owned and acquired restaurant locations. The role supports preparation and production of franchise-related legal documents, transaction due diligence and closings, and the acquisition and maintenance of alcohol licenses, permits, and other operational approvals. It also involves cross-functional coordination and reporting, tracking, and data management. The position is hybrid and based in Pasadena, California. Target salary is $70,000–$85,000, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Excellent ability to work efficiently, multitask, and independently manage a large volume of projects.
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and interact professionally with internal and external business partners.
• Self-starter willing to further develop skills as a paralegal and businessperson.
• Excellent speaking, writing, and listening skills.
• Proficient with technology platforms, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a paralegal or in a legal setting is preferred.
• Salesforce proficiency is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with preparing and producing franchise-related legal documents, including agreements and correspondence.
• Work with outside counsel and regulatory agencies to secure and maintain alcohol licenses, permits, and other operational approvals.
• Assist attorneys with due diligence for transaction reviews and licensing applications.
• Work cross-functionally to manage transactions and licensing and compliance obligations.
• Help lawyers prepare for and close franchise-related transactions and address licenses, permits, and regulatory compliance for corporate-owned and acquired restaurants.
• Assist with reporting, tracking, and data management.
