We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our growing Real Estate & Transactional Finance Practice Group in Baltimore, MD. A Paralegal in this role would support Principals and Associates and interact with our clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered. Paralegal certificate is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of legal language and principles, and research methods.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience using a document management system, NetDocs a plus.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using SimplyAgree or other signature and closing tool a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned transactions or projects.
  • Assist lawyers with commercial real estate transactions, which include document preparation, document review and revision.
  • Experience drafting loan documents, reviewing titles and surveys, and managing loan closings.
  • Review closing documents for accuracy.
  • Assist with all post-closing matters, including delivery of original closing documents to the appropriate parties; collection of post-closing items confirmation of proper recording of closing documents.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
