The Paralegal will be an integral member of the Antitrust, Competition, and Economic Regulation (ACER) practice area, providing high‑level support to attorneys across all stages of antitrust investigations and litigation, from initial information gathering and discovery through hearings, trial, and final case closure. The role also involves substantial responsibility for supporting Hart‑Scott‑Rodino (HSR) premerger notification filings with the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice, including drafting client information requests and memoranda, preparing and completing HSR forms, managing supporting documentation, and coordinating filings. Working closely with attorneys on complex matters, the Paralegal will assist with correspondence, discovery, administrative proceedings, briefs, settlements, and trial preparation, and will play a key role in the retrieval, review, management, and production of documents in connection with significant matters. The role’s primary responsibilities include: Oversee and manage document retrieval, review, organization, and production. Maintain case pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and research. Cite-check, proofread, and edit legal documents. Serve as a subject-matter expect in the preparation of HSR filings. Train and coach junior paralegals as needed to support team initiatives. Write concise memoranda to summarize research results. Maintain a database of client advisories. Maintain document, transcript, and work product databases. Assist with trial site preparation and attend trials. Conduct legal research and organize and prepare exhibit lists and/or privilege logs. Coordinate work with outside document/litigation vendors, including adherence to strict deadlines. Maintain confidentiality of client information.
