About The Position

This is a full-time Paralegal position that involves assisting with and managing transactional and litigation matters from initiation through completion. The role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a high attention to detail. The paralegal will be responsible for drafting and organizing legal documents, conducting research, preparing cases for filing, and managing discovery and trial preparation. Client communication, document management, and deadline tracking are also key responsibilities. The position is based in Houston, Texas.

Requirements

  • Prior paralegal or comparable legal experience.
  • Ability to independently handle assigned matters with limited supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Immigration experience is preferred, including experience preparing and managing immigration petitions, applications and supporting documentation.
  • Experience with transactional and litigation matters is strongly preferred.
  • Immigration law experience is preferred.
  • AA Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate or related qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with and manage transactional and litigation matters from initiation through completion.
  • Draft, and organize legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, agreements and other case-related materials.
  • Conduct legal and factual research for assisting in case preparation and transactional matters.
  • Prepare cases, pleadings, applications and supporting documentation for filing, service or mailing, as needed, and follow through on related requirements.
  • Assist attorney(s) with discovery, document production, case management, hearing and trial preparation, and maintenance of litigation deadlines.
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients regarding documents, information, meetings, interviews, deadlines and case status.
  • Manage, organize and maintain documents in paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Track and manage important deadlines, filings and follow-up requirements.
  • Provide general administrative and case management assistance necessary for the smooth handling of assigned matters.
  • Such other work as may be provided.
