Paralegals work in one of our County legal departments. They require a paraprofessional understanding of the law and legal procedures. Paralegals are responsible for supporting attorneys by conducting legal research, retrieving, analyzing, and signing legal documents like briefs, subpoenas, pleadings, appeals, motions, contracts, deeds, and drafts of legal opinions for the attorneys preparing for court cases. The eligible list established from this recruitment will be used to fill full-time, part-time, limited-term or extra-help positions as vacancies occur throughout the County.
